Politics: Politics of War And Torture Of Terrorists: Amnesty International Credibility and Torture of Terrorists

In my humble opinion, Amnesty International is an organization that has zero credibility . They scream and cry in protest when they suspect that America is treating it's terrorist prisoners inhumanly. They make accusations without offering a single shred of evidence.I recall hearing very little from this organization during the decades that Saddam Hussein was torturing and murdering hundreds of thousands of Iraqis. They use a double standard and should just be ignored.

What is wrong with the use of torture to gain intelligence information anyway? If you weigh the morality of it all, The preservation of innocent lives should be of the utmost importance. To torture terrorists that are hell-bent on murder and mayhem for the purposes of saving innocent lives is a moral responsibility that our government has.

It's because of people like yourself that the government has a tougher job of defending it's citizens. Did you express outrage in these posts at the images of Nick Berg and other westerners being beheaded? Would you have concluded that torture would have been an acceptable method of gaining intelligence information if it would have lead to the saving of Bergs life?

I was very angry that Sen John [McCain]Create? spoke against the use ot torture on terrorists. It made no sense to me. After all, it was torture that forced [McCain]Create? to speak out and betray his country that lead to a communist victory in Vietnam.Of all people, shouldn't he know how effective a tool against terrorism torture can be?
