Politics: Immigration: Why Are The Mexican Border Measures To Be Temporary

• Make these corporations pay a penalty for hiring non-Americans to do the labor, in this country AND out of it. I say, strenthen our border patrols and keep it permanent!

What's with this "temporary garbage" anyway? Why not expand Homeland Security to include a military type unit to stop illegal immigration? If no where else, at the Mexican border.

Shrub has made it increasingly difficult for Americans to re-enter their own country at the US-Canadian border, yet illegal Mexicans cross over THAT border at will. Many work here in the day and return to Mexico at night.

By next year we will all need passports to enter back from Canada. (One of these times, I'm gonna opt to simply stay in Canada if the US doesn't want a law abiding, tax paying LEGAL citizen back!)

I guess it's just easier to keep track of the LEGAL American citizens than to bother with all the ILLEGALS. Funny how these "border agreements" between the northern and southern countries practically diametrically oppose each other....(??) (Hard to figure out since shrub claims the friendship of Canada's new Prime Minister and that of Mexico's president as well.)

If the US can 'crack down' the LEGAL citizens at the Canadian border, why not the ILLEGALS at the Mexican border? It just doesn't make sense. But then again, not much of this administration does..

However, I suppose the imports of cheap labor and illegal drugs are difficult to be weaned from...
